We will need some sponsors to be proctors for individual tests and hope you all are willing to help out.  We will let you know what the responsibilities will be once registration is closed.  Thanks in advance.

King High School welcomes you back for another MAO competition!

Where: C. Leon King High School, 6815 N. 56th St., Tampa, FL, 33610.

When: Saturday, March 3, 2018

Parking: Cars may park in either the smaller front lot accessible (by the digital marquee) or the student parking lot at the rear of the school by the athletic fields. Buses should use the rear lot by the bus ramp.

Team Rounds: We will seat 2 teams for all divisions.

Concessions/Pizza: Snacks will be sold by MAO throughout the day, with most items priced at $1. Pizzas will be ordered and delivered to campus for those not wishing to leave for lunch. Cost is $10/large pizza (cheese or pepperoni). Please do NOT include pizza payments in your registration. (CASH only, due at check-in.)

Region V Competition at Cypress Bay High School  March 3, 2018 9:30 AM


- Postmarked deadline for the completion is February 18, 2018.


- Please bring your highlighted enrollment list from www.floridamao.org  with the participating competitors’ names and ID#s highlighted.


- Buses should bypass the first entrance to Cypress Bay High School and access the bus loop through Vista Park.  DO NOT HAVE BUSES GO TO THE FIRST ENTRANCE TO CYPRESS BAY HIGH.  THEY WILL NOT FIT!


- Registration is from 8:00 to 9:15 AM.


-Pizza will be sold day of the competition for $10 for pepperoni or cheese, includes tax and delivery.  (CASH ONLY).  $ is due by 9 AM on 3/3/18.  Please enter the number of pizzas on the online registration.   We will also sell snacks and drinks for students.  


- Our booster parents will be selling drinks and snacks on campus for purchase.


- Testing will begin promptly at 9:30.  Students should be in their testing rooms no later than 9:25.  Tests will be administered in the 300/400 building.


- We will be offering Speed Math and Mental Math in lieu of an interschool test.  Speed Math will be offered during round 1 and Mental Math will be offered during round 2.  Up to three students from each school can take speed math and up to three students from each school can take mental math.  An unlimited number of sponsors from each school can compete in each.


- There will be individual tests for Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus and Statistics.  


- For team rounds each school can register ONE team for each level.

Doral Academy StatewideSaturday, March 17, 2018

Doral Academy Charter School is honored to host    the March 17, 2018 Statewide Competition at Barry University, 11300 NE 2 Ave, Miami Shores  

Online registration is due by March 3, 2018.  Fees should be mailed by that date to the address listed below.

Please see below for a tentative Schedule of events. Our competition will modeled after the state convention.  The sweepstakes score will be restricted to Theta, Alpha and Calculus.  We will also offer full Algebra 1, Geometry and Statistics divisions that won’t be included in sweepstakes.

 Testing: All students will take individual tests during the first round. Team rounds and Open tests will be taken during the second round.  (unlike State, you must still choose your 4 team members in advance since the team tests will directly follow the individuals)

Lunch: On Campus lunch options are available, but must be purchased in advance.  You must pre-order your meals via email to mamoedo@doralacademyprep.org and I will send you an invoice so you can send payment along with registration. 


1) Dining Hall ($10): an all you can eat, from all stations, as many times as you'd like - great deal, but has limited space - first come first served; 

2) Boxed lunch ($7.50): sandwich (Veggie-Turkey&Cheese-Ham&Cheese), chips, cookie and a drink. 

Campus Tours: Barry University will have exciting opportunities available for students to explore. Campus tours will have various stops that include Exploration in the STEM sciences. These tours will be available starting at 11 am.
